About the panel

Stephan Thoma was Global Director of Learning & Development with Google for nearly 8 years, where his focus was on ensuring the learning agenda supported Google scale for the future whilst retaining and building its innovative and distinct culture. In this role, Stephan’s was the only non-US based member of his function’s Leadership team. He left in 2014 and now works independently providing strategic advisory and consultancy support to Exec’s and Business’s keen to address complex 21st Century people and growth organisational challenges.

Caroline Ford is a multi-award-winning learning and development specialist currently working as an L&D strategy consultant for global pharmaceutical and life sciences giant AstraZeneca.  Prior to that she was the Group Head of Learning and Development at Thomas Cook and has worked in senior L&D and consultancy roles for some of the biggest and best-known blue-chip companies including Prudential Plc, Churchill Insurance, and ComparetheMarket.com

John Helmer FLPI is a writer, speaker, podcaster and communications consultant. He runs and presents the acclaimed fortnightly podcast The Learning Hack. His career includes many years working with and for organisations including Learning Pool, Saba, Powtoon, Lumesse, Capita, Epic, LINE, Semantico, Towards Maturity, Ufi/learndirect, Kineo, Willow DNA, Learning Light and Futuremedia. John has also created and developed many Thought Leadership programmes on behalf of corporates, not-for-profits and public bodies.

Dr Bonnie Cheuk is a strategic, hands-on, business & results-driven executive with strong digital transformation, digital workplace, web/digital channel management, information & knowledge management, collaboration, social media and Enterprise 2.0 expertise. Originally from Hong Kong, she has 20+ years of experience working in HK, Singapore, USA, UK and Europe. She joined AstraZeneca as a senior director, a member of a multi-disciplinary digital transformation leadership team to reimagine the drug development process, with a focus on introducing knowledge and collaboration technologies and promoting a knowledge-driven way of working to enable the drug development process.
